[. . . ] AXIS 231D/232D Network Dome Camera User's Manual 2 About This Document This manual is intended for administrators and users of the AXIS 231D/232D Network Dome Camera, and is applicable for Firmware release 4. 30. It includes instructions for using and managing the AXIS 231D/232D on your network. Previous experience of networking will be of use when installing and using this product. Some knowledge of UNIX or Linux-based systems would also be beneficial, for developing shell scripts and applications. [. . . ] Note: Once a limit has been saved, this position can not be exceeded by the dome camera unless the values have been reset and saved to a greater value first (i. e. reset the default values of the mechanical restrictions). Move speed sets the speed of the camera's Pan/Tilt movements. The default setting is maximum speed. AXIS 231D/232D - Dome Configuration Ctrl Panel - Panel view Settings is a list of configured Shortcut command buttons. Follow the online help for instructions to configure buttons to provide direct access to various built-in auxiliary commands provided by the PTZ driver and other programmable commands. Shortcut buttons are then displayed on the ctrl Panel. 27 Control Queue The administrator can set up a queue for the PTZ controllers. Once set up, the PTZ Control Queue buttons will appear on the Live View page offering one viewer exclusive control for a limited amount of time. Other users will be placed in the queue. The AXIS 231D/232D can be configured to perform actions when defined types of events occur. Event type Triggered Event page 29 A set of parameters describing how and when the Network Dome Camera is to perform certain actions the circumstances that start an event e. g. at a signal from an external device, such as a door switch or a motion sensor what occurs when the event triggers e. g. uploaded video images to an FTP server, email notification, etc. Scheduled Event page 31 the circumstances that start an event e. g. at a pre-programmed time Action Event Servers Event Servers are used for receiving uploaded image files and/or notification messages.
