[. . . ] Two types of channel faults can be reported, depending on the severity of the problem. Amber indicates a Warning, which means that some aspect of the AM-600 amplifier module is not performing within normal specification. Audio may still be passing, but if the condition causing the Warning is not corrected, channel failure may occur. Red indicates an Alarm, which means that some aspect of the AM-600 amplifier module has failed and audio is no longer passing on that channel. [. . . ] Red indicates an Alarm, which means that some aspect of the AudiaFUSION chassis has failed and audio may no longer be passing through the device. Use the Audia software to determine the specific type of chassis warning or alarm that has occurred. Activity is a tri-color LED that illuminates to show the configuration status of the AudiaFUSION unit. A green LED indicates that the unit is configured, and an amber LED indicates that the unit is configured and in standby. Standby only occurs when a unit has been designated as a secondary failover device in the configuration. Status is a tri-color LED that indicates the health of the AudiaFUSION hardware. A flashing amber LED is shown briefly during the power-on self test and should turn solid green upon a successful start up. A red LED indicates that the unit experienced a problem during the power-on self test. AIS has no function at this time and is in place for possible future use. Power is a green LED that illuminates when power is applied to the unit.

CAUTION
RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK. Connect ground to ground and logic 4 of the primary amplifier to logic 3 of the redundant amplifier; connect logic 3 of the primary amplifier to logic 4 of the redundant amplifier. Leave logic 1 and 2 disconnected.

Class 2 Wiring
The redundant amplifier can be wired in parallel to the existing speaker line or connected to a redundant speaker line (see figure below). Relays isolate the output terminals on the secondary AudiaFUSION unit. When a configuration is received, relays close on the primary AudiaFUSION and remain open on the redundant AudiaFUSION. On failover, the relay positions are reversed.

After replacing the faulty amplifier, a power cycle is required to recover from failover. The primary device will resume control after the fail condition is cleared and the unit is re-powered.

Channel-to-Channel Failover In addition to entire amplifier failover, AudiaFUSION supports channel-to-channel failover, which is triggered by one of the following conditions: · Heat Sink alarm · Short Circuit alarm* · Channel Failure alarm The wire failover link cable is not required when wiring channel-to-channel failover. The redundant channel can be wired in parallel to the existing speaker line (shown above) or connected to a redundant speaker line. The primary amplifier module will resume control after the fault condition is cleared and the unit is re-powered.
* A Short Circuit alarm will cause failover only if the Persistent Short Circuit Delay time property in the AudiaFUSION is exceeded.
