Special features of your HDD DVD recorder
Your HDD DVD recorder provides you with perfect digital video recording and playback in studio quality. You can record television programmes on the built-in hard disc of the HDD DVD recorder, a DVD+RW/-RW or DVD+R/-R. With the time shift function you can watch television programmes with a time shift which are stored in the time shift memory. You can stop these programmes and continue playback at the same point. [. . . ] 1 2 3 Insert a DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-R or DVD-RW into the disc compartment for copying. Select » HDD« with »S« or »A« and press »OK« to activate. Note: You can also open the HDD archive by pressing »

Select the track by pressing »S« or »A«. A status line appears in the index screen which shows the space needed for the title on the disc both visually and as a percentage. If the status line is displayed red, the title cannot be copied as there is not enough space on the disc. Note: Press »c« to mark other title to be written on.

Note: If the recording is not done properly, the disc may be defective or there may be a data error. Press » « on the remote control and hold down for five seconds. The HDD DVD recorder is initialised again.

Insert a DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-R or DVD-RW into the disc compartment. Select » 8 DVD« with »S« or »A« and press »OK« to activate. Select » Copy« with »S« or »A« and press »OK« to activate. The title is being copied in the HDD archive.

Insert a DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-R or DVD-RW into the disc compartment. Select » 8 DVD« with »S« or »A« and press »OK« to activate. Select the disc information »MY DVD« with »S« or »A« and press »s« to activate. Select » Copy All« with »S« or »A« and press »OK« to activate. All titles on the disc are being copied to the HDD archive.

Notes: You can store the television programme on a disc or in the HDD archive. If all the timer positions are occupied and you want to program a new recording you must delete one, as described in the section on deleting recording data on page 74.
