POWER SUPPLY
Batteries
· Open the battery compartment and insert 3 alkaline batteries of the type R6, UM 3 or AA.
AC Mains adapter (not included)
You can connect the set to the mains using a mains adapter. Only use a mains adapter which supplies 4. 5 V DC with the negative pole at the centre pin of the plug (+<-). Before connecting the mains adapter · Check that the mains voltage indicated on the type plate of the adapter matches your local mains voltage. [. . . ] · Set the local time as described before.

CLOCK
Setting the global time (WORLD)
· If you wish to set the global time, make sure that WORLD is shown on the left of the display. · The HOME/WORLD key toggles the left time display between HOME, and WORLD time indication. · Use the HOUR key to set the hours and the MINUTE key to set the minutes. Note: The minutes setting for the HOME and WORLD time is always the same, since time zones differ per full hour.
Showing other time zones
Another time difference can be shown at any time on the right time display. · Select the time difference to the UTC time with the TIME ZONE 4 3 keys. After 5 seconds, the display will return to the previous indication.

12/24 hour display
· Press 12/24 with the point of a pin to switch between12-hour and 24-hour time indications.
PM
and AM appear on the display when 12-hour mode is selected.
Summer time
· Press DST (= Daylight Saving Time) with the point of a pin to switch between normal and summer time. During the summer time the indicator lights up.

HOME/WORLD
· The HOME/WORLD key toggles the time displays between HOME, and WORLD time indication. Depending on your selection, the HOME or WORLD time is shown on the left of the display and the other time is shown on the right of the display.

ALARM
You can use your world receiver as an alarm clock. You will be woken with a tone, or by the radio.
Alarm by sound signal · If you have selected the sound signal alarm, the tone will sound for approximately one minute, becoming louder at intervals. This is followed by one minute's silence, after which the alarm tone will sound again. If the alarm is not switched off, this process is repeated a total of 30 times, after which the appliance will switch itself off automatically. Interrupting and repeating the alarm
· The alarm can be interrupted by pressing any button other than the ON/OFF button. · It is possible to interrupt the alarm function several times during the switch-on period.

· Press STANDBY. · Use the HOUR key to set the hours and the MINUTE key to set the minutes (in the same way as the clock time). · Press OK to store the setting If you do not press OK, the display will return to the previous time setting after 5 seconds.
