3 Permanent settings in programming mode

The following settings can be programmed for COFFEE and TEA: Z Coffee: U Amount of water: 25 ML 240 ML U Coffee strength: MILD, NORMAL,
STRONG
U Temperature: NORMAL, HIGH T Place the cup under the coffee spout. Preparation stops automatically.
Z
Tea: U Amount of water: 25 ML 240 ML
Permanent settings in programming mode always follow the same model. Example: Changing the permanent setting for the coffee strength (AROMA) of COFFEE from NORMAL to STRONG. T Press the P button P and the Maintenance button c simultaneously until RINSE appears. k T Press the Rotary Switch to enter the programme item.

Automatic switch-off
You can save energy with the automatic switchoff function on the ENA. If this function is activated, your ENA switches off automatically after the pre-set time following the last action on the machine. E The automatic switch-off time can be adjusted between 0. 5 and 9 hours or deactivated.

Energy Save Mode
A default Energy Save Mode (E. S. M. ©) setting can be selected on the ENA:

ENERGY U The ENA is constantly ready for use. U Coffee and hot water can be prepared
without having to wait.
Z
ENERGY p
U After approx. 5 minutes the ENA switches to
the energy-saving temperature and is not ready for use. U Before coffee or hot water is prepared, the machine heats up.
Example: Changing the automatic switch-off time from 2 HRS to 1 HRS. T Press the P button P and the Maintenance button c simultaneously until RINSE appears. k T Press the Rotary Switch to enter the programme item.
Example: Changing the energy-saving mode from ENERGY p to ENERGY -. T Press the P button P and the Maintenance button c simultaneously until RINSE appears. k T Press the Rotary Switch to enter the programme item.
2 HRS
g T Turn the Rotary Switch until 1 HRS is
displayed.
k T Press the Rotary Switch to confirm the
setting. OK, the automatic switch-off time is then adjusted.
OFF AFTER
g T Turn the Rotary Switch until EXIT is
displayed.
k T Press the Rotary Switch to exit programming mode.

g T Turn the Rotary Switch until ECONOMY -

Switch-on rinse
In the programme item INIT RINSE the following settings can be made: Z MANUAL: The switch-on rinse has to be started manually. T Press the P button P and the Maintenance button c simultaneously until RINSE appears. k T Press the Rotary Switch to enter the programme item.
k T Press the Rotary Switch to enter the
programme item.
ML
g T Turn the Rotary Switch until OZ is
displayed.
k T Press the Rotary Switch to confirm the
setting. OK, the units of water are then adjusted.
UNIT
g T Turn the Rotary Switch until EXIT is
displayed.
k T Press the Rotary Switch to exit programming mode.
READY
Language
The language is selected when the machine is used for the first time. T Press the P button P and the Maintenance button c simultaneously until RINSE appears. [. . . ] T Remove the coffee beans with a vacuum
cleaner.

T Clean the bean container with a soft, dry
cloth.
CLOSE TAP
y T Turn the switch to position o.
T Fill the bean container with fresh coffee
beans, then close the bean container cover.

DE-SCALING, the descaling operation
is continued.
EMPTY TRAY
T Empty the coffee grounds container and
drip tray and replace. T Empty the receptacle and place it under the Connector System© once more.
Descaling the water tank
Limescale deposits may form in the water tank. To ensure correct function of the machine, descale the water tank from time to time.

FILL WATER TANK
T Remove the water tank, rinse thoroughly,
fill with fresh, cold water and replace the tank.
T Remove the water tank. T If a CLARIS Blue filter cartridge is used,
remove the cartridge.
OPEN TAP
l T Turn the switch to position m.
T Descale the tank with a mild, commercially
available descaling agent in accordance with the instructions of the manufacturer. [. . . ]
