IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following: 1. To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons do not immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other liquid. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance. [. . . ] To fill the carafe, proceed as follows: 1 Lift the top lid of the carafe:
2 Pour the milk: The level of milk poured into the carafe must be between the (MIN) level and the (MAX) level.
Thereafter the container may be used to brew the desired beverages.

Inserting the Milk Carafe
Insert the carafe in the machine to be able to use it. In order to insert the carafe, proceed as follows: 1 Remove the water dispenser (if supplied): - Press the dispenser on the sides to unlock it and lift it slightly; - Extract the dispenser.

2 Open the milk carafe dispenser by turning it counter-clockwise until it
locks into place.
3 Bring the carafe closer by keeping it slightly tilted. The front part must
be inserted into the guides present in the machine.
4 Insert the carafe all the way into the guides.
5 Insert the carafe with a combined rotation-pushing motion towards
the bottom (as indicated in the figure), until locking the insert at the drip tray. Do not force the inclination of the carafe more than intended.

Removing the Milk Carafe
The following operations show how to properly remove the carafe from the machine. Do not force the inclination of the carafe more than intended.
1 Rotate the carafe upwards until it releases from the insert in the drip
tray.
2 Keep pulling until it is completely detached.
After the use remove the container from the machine and place it in the refrigerator for proper conservation. We recommend NOT to keep the container at room temperature for too long. Store the milk according to producer's instructions and do NOT use it after best-before date. Wash the container as described in the "MILK CARAFE CLEANING" section (see page 31).
Emptying the Milk Carafe
The operations illustrate how to empty the milk contained inside the carafe.
1 Press the release buttons to allow the lid removal.
2 Lift the lid; now the milk contained inside may be emptied.

Cappuccino
The following steps describe how to prepare a cappuccino. Refer to the section "Milk Carafe".
1 Fill the milk carafe with the desired quantity.
Note: To ensure better results when preparing a cappuccino, use cold milk.
2 Open the milk dispenser and insert the milk carafe into the machine.
3 Place the cup for the cappuccino under the carafe dispenser.
Note: Ensure that the cup is positioned correctly under the dispenser to avoid spilling the product.
Note: It is possible to prepare a cappuccino with pre-ground coffee as well. Select the function with the “ ” button and pour the coffee in the compartment as described in the proper section.
4 Press the “

After using the milk carafe to prepare the desired number of cappuccino cups, wash it as described in the "Cleaning and Maintenance" chapter.
Adjusting the Cappuccino Length (MEMO Function)
The machine allows you to adjust the amount of cappuccino brewed according to your taste and/or the size of your cups. Each time the “ ” button is pressed and released, the machine pours a pre-set amount of cappuccino. This amount may be set again according to your taste.
1 Prepare the machine to brew a cappuccino. 2 Place the desired cup under the dispensing spout.
3 Press and hold the "
" button until the "MEMO" icon is displayed and remove your finger. The machine is now programming.

Adjusting the Amount of Hot Milk in the Cup (MEMO Function)
The machine allows you to adjust the amount of dispensed hot milk according to your taste and/or the size of your cups.
