If the level is below min, either the steam function cannot be started, or the container will need to be replenished after a very short time. With the water level exceeding the max-mark, there is a danger that water will reach the interior. Important notes: - Caution: do not open the water container during the cooking process. - If the water level falls below the min level, the programme is automatically interrupted. a beep signal is heard and the steam-cooking symbol flashes , reminding the user to replenish the water. However, before re-filling the container, allow the appliance to cool down for a short time. Fill the container with water and replace the lid before restarting the programme. - While steam-cooking is in progress , steam is emitted through the aperture on the top of the appliance. Once steam-cooking is complete, there may still be some residual steam left in the interior, and there is also a possibility that some hot water may have collected Around the lower part of the door. - The water collection channel should be emptied in good time to prevent it from overflowing. Before the steam-cooking function can be used, the water container and water collection channel must be fitted to the unit. - If the collection channel (3) is full of water , it must be emptied right away. - To achieve an even distribution of heat through the food, the container should be set aside for several minutes. For larger pieces of food, a longer cooking time is therefore needed than for the same amount of food if cut into pieces. - To ensure that any germs in the food are safely destroyed, the food needs to be exposed to high temperatures for a sufficiently long period. Setting the clock: Once the unit has been connected to the power supply, the display will show 1:00. While a programme is running, the present time can be called up by pressing . The clock must be set when the appliance is connected for the first time, and also if a power failure has reset it. The microwave function To programme the unit for cooking, the correct mode (microwave in this case), the required power setting and the cooking time must be selected before the programme sequence can be started. [. . . ] If food is to be defrosted in a microwave, it is therefore better to prepare it in smaller portions before initial freezing. Standing time Allowing the food to stand for a time after defrosting is also important, as the defrosting process continues.
