Lid Connection to the mains supply Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds with the voltage marked on the rating label of the drive unit. Important safety instructions This appliance is not intended for use by any person (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lacking experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Before using for the first time Before the appliance is used for the first time, all parts must be thoroughly cleaned as described in the section General Care and Cleaning. Short-time operation The appliance is designed to be operated without interruption for a maximum of 10 seconds, when it should be allowed to cool down for approximately 1 minute. The appliance can only be switched on if the lid is correctly fitted and the drive unit properly mounted on top of the processing bowl. Operation - Fit the cutting blade unit into the bowl before filling the bowl with the food to be processed. Exercise extreme caution: the - - - blades are very sharp. When handling the blades, always hold them by their upper protective plastic covering. Place the lid into the processing bowl, ensuring that the blade unit shaft fits through the opening in the lid. Insert the plug into the wall socket and press the push switch in brief bursts until the food being processed has reached the required consistency. Avoid overfilling the bowl: the maximum fill marks must not be exceeded. Before the bowl is filled, the food to be processed should be cut into pieces of about 1 cm. Do not fill the bowl with hot liquid or hard food stuff such as ice cubes, nutmegs, hard grain, coffee beans, rice or hard spice. Other food such as chocolate or raw meat is also unsuitable for processing. - After processing, always remove the plug from the wall socket before detaching the drive unit and removing the lid.
