· Read this booklet carefully. · Make sure the rating of your household electricity supply matches that shown on the back of your product. · Read this page and chapter `Setup' to help you set up and adjust your product correctly. · Do not connect the product to the power supply if you have just moved it from a cold environment to a warm room. [. . . ] If you set these language options, in advance, they will come up automatically every time you watch a movie.
1 With the unit in Stop mode, press the HOME
MENU button.
2 Press the oe buttons to select Setup, then
press the OK button.
3 Press the button to select Language setup,
then press the button. Language setup menu will be displayed.

4 Press the . . . · OSD language : For the on-screen menu of your Blu-ray Disc Player. · Subtitle language : For the disc subtitles.
· "OSD" means "On Screen Display". · Auto: When you select "Auto" in "Menu language" or "Audio language" item, one of the recorded languages on the disc is automatically selected. · Other: When you select "Menu language", " Audio language" or "Subtitle language", select another language and then press number buttons then confirm to enter the corresponding 4-digit number according to the language code list on page 55. · Off: When you select "Off" in "Subtitle language" item, the subtitles are removed on the screen.

Setup menu
Setting up the Video options
A user can set up a connected TV condition and screen. It may not work with some discs or TVs.
TV Aspect Ratio 1 With the unit in Stop mode, press the HOME
MENU button.
2 Press the oe buttons to select Setup, then
press the OK button.
3 Video setup is already selected, Then press the
button. Video setup menu will be displayed.
4 If TV Aspect Ratio is selected, press the
button to select the desired screen setting. · 4:3 Letter Box : Select when you
want to see the total 16:9 ratio screen BD/DVD supplies, even though you have a TV with a 4:3 ratio screen. Black bars will appear at the top and bottom of the screen.

· 4:3 Pan-Scan : Select this for
conventional size TV when you want to see the central portion of the 16:9 screen. (Extreme left and right side of movie picture will be cut off. )

· 16:9 Wide : You can view the full 16:9 picture on your widescreen TV.
5 Press the . . . buttons to select the desired screen setting, then press the OK button to confirm
your choice.
· Depending on the disc type, some aspect ratios may not be available. Press the RETURN or HOME MENU button to exit the menu.

Setup menu
Resolution
Sets the output resolution of the Component and HDMI video signal.
1 Follow steps 1-3 as shown under `TV Aspect
Ratio'.
2 Press the . . . The number in 576i, 576p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p and 1080p24 indicates the number of lines of video. If the connected TV does not support the movie frame or the selected resolution, you will see the following message: If you select Yes and the resolution is not supported, the TV's screen will be blank.

· Press the oe button to return to the previous menu. · When playing BD-Video recorded in 24 frames, this unit displays each frame at 1/24 second intervals. So it needs to be set only when the unit is connected to a TV with an HDMI terminal that supports 1080/24P input.

Setting up the Audio options
Allows you to set up the Audio device and sound status depending on the audio system being used with the player.
Digital Output 1 With the unit in Stop mode, press the HOME
MENU button.
2 Press the oe buttons to select Setup, then
press the OK button.
3 Press the button to select Audio setup, then
press the button. buttons to select `Digital
Output(S/PDIF)' or `Digital Output(HDMI)' then press the button. [. . . ] Move

Various playback functions
Slide Show 1 Follow steps 1-5 as shown under `Viewing a Picture'. Use the [. . . ] buttons to select
the photo file you want to play, and then press the PLAY button. Then the Slide Show starts.
3 Press [ ] button to stop Slide Show and the player returns to browser screen.
· You can set the time interval of slide show in General part of SETUP menu. (For more information, see "Slide Show Interval" at page 40) · Press the RETURN or HOME MENU button to exit the PHOTO list screen.
