Ifanyoilorgreasedogetontheshoes, youshould replacetheshoes, otherwisethebrakesmaynotwork correctly. · Checkthebrakecableforrustandfraying, andreplacethe cableimmediatelyifanysuchproblemsarefound. Ifthisisnot done, thebrakesmaynotworkcorrectly. · Alwaysmakesurethatthefrontandrearbrakesareworking correctlybeforeyouridethebicycle. · Iftheroadsurfaceiswet, thetireswillskidmoreeasily. Ifthe tiresskid, youmayfalloffthebicycle. Toavoidthis, reduce yourspeedandapplythebrakesearlyandgently. · ReadtheseTechnicalServiceInstructionscarefully, andkeep theminasafeplaceforlaterreference.

Afteradjustingthebrakeshoepositionsothattheshoe surfaceandtherimsurfaceareasshownintheillustration, tightentheshoefixingbolt.
6. Check
Depressthebrakeleverabout10timesasfarasthegripand checkthateverythingisoperatingcorrectlyandthattheshoe clearanceiscorrectbeforeusingthebrakes.
